once gangs are all done and over with, theyll be movies that will go down in history as well. i put money on that. but right now, gangs are still a huge issue for the country and more violent towards innocent people as ever, vs the mafia who usually just mingled with other mafia members.

Gangs are usually low lives, their clothing can consist of wearing some baggy hip hop clothes and bandannas or a no shirt baggy jeans clothing. Also gangs usually go hard after crimes like raping women and smacking little kids, basically small scale low life stuff.
The Mafia are no saints but they have some class at least. You don’t see Mafia members kill and rape females just for their pleasure. You usually see Mafia members drowning and killing grown men who have made a mistake. Also, all the mafia really wants is money, that is ALL they want. Also see the nice clothes they have on, like suits and what not.
Ethnic gangs usually want recognition and a lot of them kill people based on what the other person is wearing or what race he is (Mexican gangs in LA killing Black males for example). Mafia people actually try to talk out peace and if stuff goes wrong they kill.
So thats the reason people condemn gangs.
Gangs usually contain thugs and drug addicts who target innocent people and commit crimes openly and ruthlessly. In comparison to larger organized crime families, they also have a much greater propensity for violence. For example, it is a very rare occasion when an ‘outsider’ is killed by the mafia. This is specifically illustrated by Bugsy Siegel who once remarked “We only kill each other”
Also, the mafia encompasses charming, charismatic and well dressed figures which is practically the polar opposite of many gang members.
With all the above being said, I do not admire nor respect the mafia.
