What is the easiest software for creating a good digital model of a room?

I have to generate a digital model of a room today, including the current positioning of the decoration (paintings, architectural ornamentation) on the walls and ceiling. At best, I 'd Gradica end up with a digital model that will allow me to see how things are positioned in space from different points of view. Is there a software program that will make this easy, or is it interesting to take someone with experience in CAD software to do this?

If you are looking for easy and cheap you can go with Google Sketchup, which should do the job (especially if it is just for visualizing). It is a free download and I'd say the learning curve for what you want to do might be about an hour. You can download it here:
