Depends on how old you want it.

Black & White: the original “Scarface”
    70’s: “The Godfather”
    80’s: “Scarface”
    90’s: “Goodfellas”

  7. arcticayla says:

Public Enemy #1, 1931, with James Cagney.

  8. cyberlarry7 says:

That depends greatly on what you meant by “older”!

    You mean 1950s, 1940s, 1930s?

The great cycle of classic gangster movies began in the 1930s, with SCAREFACE, PUBLIC ENEMY, LITTLE CAESAR, and THE ROARING TWENTIES.

  9. Russell C says:

    Murder, My Sweet (1944)

“Murder, My Sweet, a taut thriller about a private detective enmeshed with a gang of blackmailers, is as smart as it is gripping.” ~Variety.

A classic of the genre. He won’t be disappointed.

  10. Sarah V says:

    - (The Godfather (1972) / The Godfather: Part II )(1974), (scarface), (blood in blood out,)(american me)’ (mi vida loca,) (american x) boys in the hood

  11. Josh says:

    Goodfellas or The Godfather

  12. marco999 says:

How about Angels with Dirty faces starring James Cagney & Humphrey Bogart 1938 – brilliant and okay to watch on a date too!
